Dr. Evelyn Johnson-Taylor
Dr. Evelyn Johnson-Taylor is an ordained minister, theology professor, published author, and a certified writing & speaker coach. She has served as a ministry leader since 1987 and uses her own experiences and scripture to empower those who want to see the promises of God manifest in their own lives.
She and her late husband, Pastor Scott Taylor, founded Good News Bible Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Good News Global Ministries in Wesley Chapel, Florida. The two served their Florida congregation until 2010, when Pastor Taylor’s health failed. Evelyn’s experience as a ten-year caregiver for her husband led to her current ministry of offering a message of hope and encouragement to those caring for loved ones. Through her own experiences, and the testimonies of others, she has seen her message of self-care resonate with caregivers who feel overwhelmed.
Evelyn serves her community as an ordained elder at The Word of Grace & Truth Ministries in Tampa, FL. She sits on the advisory board of Senior Connection Center Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides resources for the elderly and disabled, and she is a volunteer with AARP. Her philanthropic work includes fundraising for research into Neuromyelitis Optica for the Mayo Clinic and fundraising through The National Christian Foundation to assist caregivers. She pursues both in memory of her late husband. Using the platform that God has given her, Evelyn has seen lives transformed.
She holds an Associate’s degree in Nursing, a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies, a Masters and Ph.D. in Ministry. Evelyn is passionate about encouraging, empowering, and equipping women to win. She believes that every woman has a purpose focused dream and wants to help her make it a reality. To purchase my books visit www.evelynjtaylor.org/bookstore or other online bookstores
